Mini-Volley

 

Program Description:

​

• MINI-VOLLEYBALL is a discipline recognized and encouraged by the FIVB and adopted by the USAV. This program is used with proven success by Clubs from Puerto Rico, Canada, Spain and the Netherlands as part of their instructions programs.  This is THE game for children at an early age. The rules are established by each National Federation, but are adapted to reflect the level of play of the participants.

• MINI-VOLLEYBALL was conceived as an initiation to the sport. It was originated as a way to make volleyball more accessible. The idea is to adapt the game and teaching methods to the youngsters' abilities; NOT THE REVERSE. Height and skill level are not limitations.

• Special emphasis is provided to the development of motor skills.

• Participants are divided by age and ability.  Development is individual.
